MDC-T SECRETARY GENERAL DOUGLAS MWONZORA’S daughter ditches Chamisa faction for Thokozani Khuphe faction.
The MDC T drama, today, was very exciting with developments in Bulawayo where, today the splinter MDC T group held its extraordinary congress in Bulawayo , where a new national standing committee with former MDC-T party vice-president Dr Thokozani Khupe as its new presiden and Obert Gutu elected as the deputy president, Abednico Bhebhe the new chairman and Nixon Nyikadzino as the party’s secretary-general.
As if thats not enough, more developments cropped up when the MDC-T’s deputy treasurer Charlton Hwende twitted a picture of Douglas Mwonzora’s daughter Isabel Mwonzora and Yvone Musarurwa attending the Thokozani Khupe’s congress in Bulawayo.
Mwonzora however argued bin response, that, , “You seem to want to attack me on the basis of my daughter’s choice. Bella is a qualified lawyer and a married woman. She knows her rights. How many of you have relatives in Zanu PF for example?”
He added that his daughter has rights including the right to choose.
Howver some MDC T critics were quick to critcise her actions by saying: @DMwonzora can’t convince his own daughter to support the MDC how can he manage to persuade a complete stranger.” What a mess, this MDC T saga is turning out to be. More news to follow. By Sibusiso Ngwenya
